Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit Installation - 2021 Toyota Tacoma- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit on a 2021 Toyota Tacoma. Now there's five main components that are required for flat towing any vehicle, and we'll break those down. The first one is gonna be the base plate, and that's gonna structurally mount to the frame of the vehicle and create a mounting point, not only for your tow bar but the rest of the components. So our tow bar is going to be the connecting point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV. And also, going from the base plate to the hitch, is gonna be our safety cable. So just like you'd hook up to a trailer, you wanna make sure you have those cables in place, just in case of that disconnect. more

Roadmaster Universal Diode Wiring Kit Installation - 2019 Toyota Corolla- Video

Rob: Hey everybody. Rob here etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster high powered diode wiring kit on our 2019 Toyota Corolla. What our diodes are going to allow us to do is take those signals from our motor home and transfer them through the lights on our Corolla so every knows what's going on, whether we need to stop change lanes, or if we're driving at night, everybody will know what's going on, just like we're pulling a trailer.Our diodes are going to be really nice because once we have them installed, we're not going to have to mess with them anymore. It's not going to have to worry about an extra step whenever we're hooking up, unlike those magnetic lights. Now they do work, obviously. more

Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit Installation - 2018 Toyota Tacoma- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Tacoma, we're going to be installing Roadmaster's universal wiring kit for towed vehicles, part number RM-152-98146-7. This style of wiring kit is going to transfer all the signals from your motor home back to your towed vehicle, so that what everyone behind you knows your intentions going down the road. This included your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps. This will keep you DOT compliant in all states.This wiring kit's going to come with everything you need to run the signals from your tail lamp assemblies up to the front, as well as give you a connection point to plug in your six volt connector to hook up your motor home. The diodes that are hooked up here back at the tail will allow it to receive signals from your motor home, but those signals won't be transferred to the rest of your vehicle, as diodes act as a one-way check valve so voltage won't go in that direction. This will keep everything completely separate so you don't have to worry about anything on your vehicle affecting your motor home and vice versa. more

Roadmaster Diode 7 to 6 Wire Coil Kit Installation - 2017 Toyota Corolla iM- Video

Today in our 2017 Toyota Corolla IM, we'll be having a look at, and installing the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit, part number RM-15267. Here's what our Diode kit looks like installed and functioning. As you can see, there's nothing visible on the outside of the vehicle as far as the wiring is concerned. We only have the six pole round connector on the front and what this does is eliminates the need for us to use magnetic tow lights on our vehicle or flat towing it behind our RV. It utilizes the factory lights already in the car. We don't have to do any drilling to add a secondary bulb and socket to our vehicle's taillight assembly. more

Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2003 Toyota Tacoma- Video

Today on our 2003 Toyota Tacoma we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Taillight wiring kit for towed vehicles with LED bulb and socket. Part number RM-152-LED. The reason you'd want this setup is it's just going to be two bulbs that are going to be drilled into the back of your tail lights therefore eliminating any tie in to your factory wiring. You're going to go from the light with our 4 pole flat wiring up into the coach wiring and eliminate cutting into any of your vehicles wiring and not causing any problems if you should still be under warranty it's not going to affect your warranty. If you have any spikes it's not going to affect the vehicle's wiring system at all. Now that's go ahead and show you how to install it. Here's what the kit's going to consist of. We're going to have two bulbs and sockets. This is going to be LED. They're going to be 450 lumens so it's going to be a really bright light. more

Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Kit Installation - 1991 Toyota Pickup- Video

Today on our 1991 Toyota pickup, we'll be installing a Roadmaster base plate wiring kit, part number RM-154. To start off, we'll cut off one of the ends of our wiring, since we'll only need one. We'll then run the cut end of our wiring up through the bumper and to the engine compartment. To make things easier, we'll use a pull wire, in this case, some old airline tubing. We'll attach the wiring with some electrical tape to our pull line and pull it into place, untangling any kinks or knots that may form. We'll pull it all the way through. We'll protect our wiring with some loom that comes in our kit. more

Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Kit Installation - 2013 Toyota Yaris- Video

Today on our 2013 Toyota Yaris, we're going to be installing the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, part number RM-154. Now here's what our four flat wiring looks like installed on our vehicle. Now, here's the jumper or an umbilical that comes with the wiring kit. Simply plug it in under the towed vehicle, then you would connect the other end to your four flat connector on your motor home when you're ready to hit the road. The other end of the long wiring, when you cut this other four flat off, this can be used to wire in to your motor home if there's not an existing four flat already on it. This will plug in to the other end of the jumper. Now, let's go ahead and begin our installation. We're going to go ahead and begin here at the rear of the vehicle. more
